There are three Christmases according to C.S. Lewis:
· The Popular Holiday—parties and merry making
· The Commercial Holiday—you know what this is!
· The “Real” Christmas
What is the “Real” Christmas and have you found it?
Key Scriptures
“The virgin will be with child and will give birth to a son, and they will call him Immanuel” which means, “God with us.” Matthew 1:23
“The Word became flesh and made His dwelling among us. We have seen His glory, the One and Only, who came from the Father, full of grace and truth.” John 1:14
“No one has ever seen God, but God the One and Only, who is at the Father’s side, has made Him known.” John 1:18
The “Real” Christmas is about…
1. God coming Near Us.
2. God coming near us to Save Us.
