Love and Hope for our Military

Our soldiers far away from home have requests for items that can make their days a little sunnier.  We are collecting items to send to them.  You can help by bringing:

  • Deodorant

  • Shaving Gel

  • Lotion

  • Razors (multi-packs preferred)

  • Floss picks

  • Liquid body wash

  • Baby wipes

  • AA & AAA batteries

  • Snack items (that can be opened with one hand)

  • Nutrition bars

  • Gum, licorice, candy

  • Nuts in individual packs

  • Magazines

  • CAUTION: No items containing chocolate can be sent.  Food items need to be able to be opened with a gloved hand.

If the needs of our soldiers touches your heart, please let God guide you.  Cash donations are always welcome, and will be used for postage or purchase of items.  Packages will be sent mid April and continue on a regular basis.  Donation items may be left in the box in the office.  Cash should be given to Judy Davies, or Jill in the office.  Thank you for helping send God's love in a tangible way!

Sunday School Offerings

Each Sunday, our Sunday School students have the opportunity to give an offering.  The Christian Education Ministry believes this is a very effective way to teach our young children the joy of giving.  Many parents use this opportunity to teach their children about tithing their allowances.

Recycling Old Magazines

Old Magazines Coveted -Janet Wells and her English classes at Springfield High School enjoy making collages, and that means she could render useful your old, ready-to-be-recycled magazines. Anything PG-13 or milder will be welcomed! Just put them in a plastic grocery sack, put Janet's name on it, and place it in or near the church office. Janet will take it from there.
